Summer 2021

From 4 July to 4 August 2021 the former Caux Palace Hotel will open its doors as a pop-up hotel. At the same time the beautiful grounds of this unique Belle Époque property will be home to a restaurant open to both guests and the public.

Step back in time to experience Caux and the surrounding area just as the rich and famous would have done over 100 years ago.

Pop-Up Hotel – 4 July to 4 August

This summer the Caux Palace will open its doors to individual guest for the first time in 83 years. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the moving history of the building and explore the region from a different angle. You could even book a guided historic house tour.

Spending a night in one of our guestrooms is to be transported back in time and when you awake you’ll be able to enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Geneva and the Alps, all from the comfort of your own private balcony. Wander downstairs for a healthy breakfast on the garden terrace with a refreshing summer breeze.

The Caux Palace is located at the beginning of several picturesque hikes and is also right next to the train station making it the ideal base for exploring the Rochers-de-Naye and the Riviera from Vevey to Montreux to Villeneuve.

Open Gardens – 4 July to 4 August

Following on from last year’s success, the Caux Palace Gardens will once again be open to the public this summer. Let the children play in the gardens while you enjoy the panoramic views, continue your hike with a walk along the Promenade or simply relax on one of the many benches and sunbeds. The gardens are open from 10am to 9pm and entry is free of charge.

Drinks, snacks and ice creams will be available from the restaurant and take-away stand.

Restaurant – 4 July to 4 August

Our restaurant offers locally produced organic food and drinks every day from 10am to 9pm.

Quench your thirst after a long hike or a scenic train ride with fresh water from Caux’s very own mountain springs. If you’d like something other than water, we have a range of locally sourced drinks, including our own Caux Palace beer, brewed by Brasserie du Haut-Lac in Vevey which will particularly appeal to malted barley lovers. Our selection of local wines highlights the Lavaux and celebrates its heritage.

You’ll also find a variety of fresh snacks inspired by the Mediterranean and local cuisine. Our homemade Focaccia bread is the base of a variety of delicious sandwiches and is the perfect accompaniment for one of our salads or platters.
